I worked on this song because I felt deeply connected to the image of a cicada—
living for a long time underground as a pupa, then finally breaking through its hard shell and singing at the top of its lungs.

Please remember who I am right now:
living in a semi-basement, waiting for my bright summer that will come someday.

This song is dedicated to all the countless pupae out there—
those who long to sing freely, and who will one day be able to sing their own song, without holding back.
