Following their second mini album SHINING UP released last August—where they recorded over 70,000 first-week album sales, ranked high on digital music charts, and earned music show No.1 nominations—TEMPEST returns with their third mini album ON and ON in a rapid two-month comeback, continuing their remarkable growth.

ON and ON captures TEMPEST’s strong determination to never settle for the present and to rise toward their dreams. Centered on the message of moving forward endlessly into a new world created together as “we,” the album delivers a powerful statement of unity and ambition. Featuring four tracks, the album tells the story of “us” becoming each other’s courage and salvation, as TEMPEST boldly moves toward a wider world. Members LEW and Hwarang participated in writing lyrics for both the title track and B-sides, further solidifying TEMPEST’s distinctive narrative. Continuing from their previous works, the album highlights tracks that seamlessly express both TEMPEST’s youthful energy and matured charm.

The title track “Dragon” is a Hybrid Trap genre song driven by intense sound, using the image of a dragon soaring ever higher as a metaphor for dreams. Lyrics such as “Dragon, fly high / Riding the momentum, soaring higher / Sweeping heat / Breath overflowing to the edge, unstoppable” capture the bold ambition and unstoppable drive of boys who have grown even stronger.

The album also includes “Taste The Feeling,” a bright, party-like track that highlights TEMPEST’s youthful charm; “Loving Number,” which playfully expresses the feeling of falling in love through a secret code shared between two people; and “Raise Me Up,” a song that tells the story of TEMPEST taking flight toward their dreams. Together, these tracks present the essence of TEMPEST’s refreshing sound and vibrant youth energy.

Since their debut in March, TEMPEST has maintained an active presence and is quickly establishing themselves as one of the defining rookie idol groups of 2022. With more mature visuals and irreplaceable performances, ON and ON is set to firmly imprint TEMPEST’s presence on global K-POP fans.
